Below are the different services I have come across for hosting things online, such as websites, blogs, gemini capsules, etc. While similar to public unix servers, hosting services tend to focus on a specific purpose. If you would like to have a more personalized, non-corporate presence online, but you are not able to manage your own server, then check out what these services offer.

You will find a collection of links for alternative network and telecommunication technologies here on my Linkding instance.

I share a lot of links in my blog, but in case it is not enough, then here are other linkrolls and webrings that I have come across. You will surely find many duplicate links between them all.

I also have a collection of StumbleUpon alternatives. StumbleUpon was a browser extension that allowed you to randomly open a website from its repository; it was probably the thing that introduced me to the wonders of the interwebs. Unfortunately StumbleUpon is no longer available, it shut down many years ago.
